ow, hang on to your controllers and fasten your seatbelts, because at the Toronto Auto Show, Porsche threw a bomb into the world of console video games with its concept car Vision Gran Tourismo referring to the game of the same name!

Imagine that, my friends!!

A car so futuristic that it could almost take off towards Mars, and all that, directly from your PlayStation 4 or 5!

some aesthetic choices

Imagine the Porsche designers thinking:

"Hey, why not imagine a car that could travel through a video game, while remaining feet on the digital earth of Gran Turismo?"

The job is now done!

The Vision GT was born, with its linear headlights so sleek that you would think they came straight from a distant galaxy. Porsche, still in "Expect the unexpected" mode, even has an offer of 4 body colors in the game.

"Eisgraumetallic Matt", is a kind of matte white for this beauty, because, why not? And with its dark grey and red decorative strips, it makes you want to dive directly into the screen of your computer to drive it yourself!

The number "72" on the car is a reference to the year of creation of the Porsche Design Studio, and the year that Ferdinand Alexander Porsche (grandson of Ferdinand Porsche and son of Ferry), became the "boss" of the company.

and performance in all this?

But the best partin that car?

The specifications are as crazy as the car itself. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds? It’s so fast that you could almost find yourself at the finish before you even start!

And with 1274 horsepower under the rear hood, it would almost make you want to wonder if having a race driver helmet on your head would be a good idea!

created for a... virtual use

It’s not just an ordinary video game car, no no no!

Porsche has teamed up with the Polyphony Digital Inc. console video game masters, who have given you excitement with Gran Turismo.

Together, they concocted this digital racing beast, the first of its kind for Porsche. It look like it smells like burnt rubber and computer code in the air!

“It’s like Marty McFly is leaving for the future, without coming back, because he’s too busy driving this technological marvel.”

realistic vibrations in the game controller

And it’s not just a festival of pixels and polygons!

No! This car reacts like a real one. The joystick is so sensitive that you’ll feel every bump and turn.

It almost looks like you could feel the movement of the tires mounted on 22-inch rims on the circuit vibrators, in your living room!

a future vision

The Porsche Vision GT is not just a style exercise.

It also heralds Porsche’s electric future, while offering players an unparalleled driving experience. So, ready to put on your virtual pilot suit and embark on a high-speed adventure?
